How Fountain Finances is funded

Our guides, calculators and comparisons are free. To support the Site we may earn revenue from:

• Affiliate links: a company may pay us a commission when you click a link on our Site and open an account, apply for or buy a product.
• Display advertising: ads may appear on some pages and are visually separated from editorial content.
• Sponsorships: any sponsored content will be clearly labeled “Sponsored.”

Using an affiliate link never costs you more. The price, rate and terms you receive are set by the provider.

How affiliate links are labeled

Every affiliate link is labeled “Affiliate link” next to the button, and the product card carries an “Affiliate” badge. Links to providers we do not have a relationship with are marked with the provider’s own website address instead. For search engines, affiliate links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, as Google recommends. This is consistent with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance that endorsements and material connections be clearly disclosed.

What compensation does not affect

• Which products we include. Inclusion depends on our published eligibility criteria, not on payment. Products without any business relationship appear alongside those with one.
• Order. Comparison lists are alphabetical.
• What we say. Every product listing includes cons and important considerations. Partners cannot review or approve our content.
• Our guides. Educational articles are written to answer the reader’s question, not to promote a product.

Current relationships

We will list every provider with which we have an active affiliate or sponsorship agreement on this page. Where a product listing has no affiliate label, we have no compensation arrangement for that link.
