Fountain Finances Editorial Team

Research, writing and editing

The Fountain Finances editorial team researches and writes every guide on this site. We build each article from primary sources — the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Reserve, the FDIC, the IRS, the U.S. Department of Education and official lender and bank disclosures — and we re-check the facts on a published review schedule. Our goal is simple: explain money decisions clearly enough that you can make them yourself.

Areas we cover

  • Budgeting and saving
  • Consumer credit
  • Bank accounts and deposit insurance
  • Consumer loans
  • Mortgages
  • Insurance basics

How we work

Every guide starts from primary sources — federal agencies such as the CFPB, FDIC, Federal Reserve, IRS and U.S. Department of Education, and the official disclosures of banks, card issuers and lenders. Drafts are checked against those sources before publication, and each guide lists what we relied on. When rules or products change, we update the guide and its “last updated” date. Read the full process in our editorial standards.
